Does the Gargantuan fit in?

[:1]Just curious as to what my fellow witch doctors think. It has been stated that the gargantuan looks like an ent and similar to the wickerman seen at blizzcon 2009 but much bigger/thicker. For those of you who don't know what that looks like here is a picture.

He was described as a large zombie so I planned on using him in a zombie themed build but now that this info has come out I am having second thoughts. Anyone else feel this way or do you think that he might fit in?|||Between the Fetishes, Zombies, Spiders, Frogs and Locusts and all the other critters that can only be seen via Runes the WD already has a lot of variety. I'm not really sure why Blizz felt the need to include another type of summon.

The look of the Wickerman is not that bad for a summon. I'd have preferred it if the facemask was much larger. Think of the size of the mask in the WD art. A walking voodoo mask with limbs made out of wood, bone and leaves.|||Perhaps he does look cooler than the old concept. Maybe they did give him a more voodoo look like you are describing. If that is the case then I am sure he would be just fine- maybe runes will change it too .|||Quote:

Most of those aren't true summons. Just summoning flavored attacks.

As it stands, Mongrels and Gargantuan are the only "classic" summons the WD has.|||Quote:

I actually like the way Blizz have done that actually. They've given only a couple of real summons followed up by a heap of spells that are disguised as summons.|||Quote:

What I meant was "the need to include another type of summon" in a visual sense. There is a enough visual variety without including walking trees.

In terms of permanent summons I'd like to see many more. I like having a zoo and that is one of the playstyles that I'll miss in D3.|||A zookeeper class inclusion is doubtful. Too few skills, too passive a gamestyle with a mere 6 skill limit. They could try to pull it off by allowing direct control over pets (and maybe giving them controllable abilities of their own), but if allowing like 3-4 basic command actions for a follower was "too complex and distracting..."

I don't expect (relatively more) complex archetypes like shapeshifters or pure summoners unless an expansion is specifically aimed at increasing the complexity of the skill system is introduced. The previous incarnation with "3 skills per combo" of the Monk was apparently too complex as it is.
