Female WD Twit pic is up! - Page 5

All of Victor Lee's concept art looks effing awesome, precisely how a WD should look in D3 I think. Even the set we were shown in the announcement vid was pretty cool. But I have the impression the WD went down hill from there on.|||Quote:

The original one looks like a crappy toy for kids when you compare it to the fan made version. The modified version looks soooo awesome, I now understand that some fans definitely know some things much better than the fan boys of WOW at the Diablo 3 development team. Why those professionals at the team cant make it as cool as fans do, I dont know.

I bet the artist was doing this and then some boss came around and said `No! More witch doctorish!|||Quote:

I didnt know larger feathers made an armor heavier

They do. Flight feathers (especially primaries, i.e. the finger-like wing feathers) are actually pretty stiff. The larger the feather, the stiffer it has to be in order to exert enough force when the host flies. You're probably thinking of contour feathers which are the soft feathers that cover a bird's body.

That isn't to say feathers offer good protection against weapons, as they're primarily there for aesthetical reasons. Traditionally, however, the bigger the feathers the greater the wearer's status, which is what you'd expect from a logical armor progression (the heavier the armor, the more badass it looks).|||yep because those feathers are not very stiff.

It looks just like the wd is trying to appear larger then she is. It will only make her a bigger target in my opinion|||Can somebody please explain to me how exactly the WD is finding tribal masks and little bits of wood and feathers all put together in armour form at the bottom of a church catacombs?|||The monsters carry those and all the other items in their imaginary backpacks.|||There's got to be one ghay artists in this game doing all this ****. FFS, sack him already plz.|||Lawl, that fanart looks terrible. It reminds me of that "necromancer's choice" screenshot, where the guy just turned down the contrast, desaturated all of the colors, and ran a grain filter over the whole thing, and a ton of people thought it was cool.

Ridiculous. Making it less colorful does not actually make things better. Shame on the guy who posted it, especially for your stupid WoW trolling. Yeah, Diablo 3 is not allowed to have colors or else they are catering to WoW fans. Good reasoning there, champ.

It's the same colors whining all over again. Too colorful, cartoony, clowns, its all code for the same thing. This is being used to revive this sad 'debate'.

Konfeta, all that really differs between the concept and the SS is the mask. I'm sure some of the masks will look like that, too, but I don't think a colorful, more traditional tribal mask is inappropriate either.|||Quote:

I disagree with this point.

For me the main difference being the concept art is the WD at 0 level armour. The idea would be (as seen in D1, D2) that the WD starts putting on some, you know, actual armour but that is obviously not the case now.|||I suppose that's true. It seems that his armor levels are just becoming more elaborate ceremonial dress, instead of heavier armor. But we've still only seen a few levels. I doubt all 18 tiers are like that. The heavy armor tier will probably look more like you want.
