New skills and rune effects from BETA video! - Page 2

Look at the Wizard part and her Disintegration Ray, We already knew how it and all of its rune versions(from the runestones page that Blizzard gave us.) looked like, but this one has two lasers, one per hand. And she doesn't look like an energy being so I don't think the Wizard is in her Archon form that is said to change skills.

Oh... your right. Then look at the barbarian's whirlwind, it has a black swirl in it where it didn't have one on the runestone page, one might say it is because of the weapon, but the hammer seems to be normal.|||I would personally like to see a bit more detail on the Giant Spider/Tarantula. If it is a Tarantula which would make a lot more sense.. since they essentially are giant spiders. They should be hairy, have fangs, and have cool *** patterns.

Also this might be nitpicking, but the arc on fireblast is a bit too high. It makes sense for a high arc if you're lobbing it @long range, but at close range which was shown in the new beta video, it looked a bit silly.

I'm probably going to be a day one Witch Doctor by the way. Looks really fun, just would like to see a bit more details and polish!|||The spider skill actually looks like it could be quite useful.

I like that it seemingly just needs to be near enemies to do its damage through AoE rather than single-target melee attacks like the mongrels. Not to mention (though the zombies died too fast to know for sure) it's got collision detection, giving it great defensive potential.|||Also I think we have seen new spell which wasn't shown before "Big Bad Voodoo" ..basically Fetish Shaman with aura around him.. First..I thought it's just Hex spell.. but Hex spell seems to be walking Fetish Shaman..|||Nizaris provided some descriptions of new skills in a thread in the D3 community forum;

Gargantuan - WD skill. This summoned a large ent-like creature that was persistent. He traveled alongside the WD dealing a hefty amount of damage.

Soul Harvest - It's changed now. It doesn't do damage, but will collect souls from nearby foes to buff the WD for a period of time. The more enemies in the area, the more potent the buff.

Hex - WD skill. Turns monsters into chickens. Seriously.

Big Bad Voo Doo - It's a voodoo shaman that stands. You see this in the video but it isn't given a name. Well, it's called big bad voodoo.|||@Mad Mantis, I didn't see Gargantuan or Soul Harvest in the videos...am I going blind or were you simply mentioning them here?|||Quote:

Just mentioning them here. Nizaris saw them when he went to the press day. I didn't think that this needed its own thread.|||I think I like this version of Soul Harvest the most. Keeps the unconventional feel of the WD and doesn't wreak havoc with mana.|||Quote:

Anyone see what Big Bad Voodoo does in the video apart from make an interesting aura type of thing?
