Why the Witch Doctor? - Page 2

[:1]Kabooom, mwhahahaaah boooom!!!!! Ghahahhahahahahaha!!!!

|||The WD will definitely be my first choice, I absolutely love it. I like the feel of power that his playing style gives.

Say you're in a battle and you have 5 or 6 minions fighting, a parasite in an enemy on one side, a locust swarm ripping through a crowd on another side, haunt flitting from enemy to enemy as it kills them, another crowd of enemies confused and fighting each other...

No other class can have so much going on at once, and that's what I love about the WD. Damage over time spells mean you can be doing damage everywhere at once, especially as many do not stop when the target dies.|||Only class (so far) that has numerous poison / disease / famine related skills with lots of DoTs.

Looks like a very fun class to play.|||right now this is my first choice for D3 and will only change if and when they announce the archer class (prerelease anyway). the WD looks like a more active necro which is a big win for me.|||this class looks so sweet, yeah.|||Really it reminds me of the Witch doctor from Wc3 and its funny that they made use of that name both in Warcraft and Diablo universe.

It will proberbly be my first played char just because it got summons.|||Quote:

Pretty much this. I can't wait to shove some dogs in a pack of zombies and blow them to pieces. Muahaha.|||like the idea of locus swarm and dot damage so it should be a fun to play|||MiniMonk must shed a tear for his dear friend the Necromancer, who served him well for years.

Sadly MM does not think that he will play the Witch Doctor that often. It reminds him too much of the Necromancer while offering a version that does not appeal to MM. MM hates DoT and would rather prefer summons that does more than act as a distraction force. Who knows tho, maybe the end product will suit MM's taste more.|||I didn't use poison too often in D2, but I love the idea of poisons and DoT attacks, Locust Swarm looks especially delightful! Plus zombies, I love me some zombs.

I really hope that it's possible to make some sort of build where summons can dish out damage, although I am perfectly fine with losing the General-style character that was the Skelemancer (though I will miss him dearly). Methinks cannon fodder summons would be lame
